Motion Graphics – Example Nr. 303 – “Room 606” @Radar5Media

This motion graphics experiment was made with Maxon’s Cinema 4D. I built a room and placed a couple of objects inside. After working with keyframes to make the animations, I rendered the short clip and imported it to Adobe Premiere. Once there, I added one of my own sound samples and worked with a couple plugins to achieve this certain look.

Take a look and enjoy this tiny ride into a slightly different setting.

Are we living in a world of the dot-com-error? [3D related rant]

Well, I thought, I’d create some 3D space, with a mech and his clone, put some meaningful text (mograph) onto the floor, add a couple of textures, lights and a camera – adjust the settings and present to you my new 3D rendering entitled “dot-com-error”:

Ok. So, I had this website (once) and there was this intro  – hold on a second – I still got the clip up at my vimeo account . . . [goes for a walk, downstairs, to the vimeo storage]:

DOT-COM-ERROR from Radar Five Media on Vimeo.

Well, as you might see, if you’d follow the link to my official vimeo account, I uploaded a couple of videos and tests. These clips are waiting, somewhere, for you to drop by and take a look, leave a comment and share the stuff you like. In case you might need a music video or 3D animations for your business: feel free to get in touch. I’m 38 years old and I know what I’m doing. Trust me.

The making-of a new 3D animation: let’s call this guy “Stativi”

Yesterday, I started modeling a “guy” called “Stativi” – I have to fine-tune this lovely little creature today and start creating my animation. A first rough draft already existis, but this one’s not quite what I’ve expected. I want to make Stativi slightly move over the floor and make some industrial sounds while he’s looking left, right, up and down. Plus: I have to improve his legs by adding bones and joints (I’m using Maxon’s Cinema 4D by the way).

So here’s the first shot of the rough 3D draft:
