It’s about time to present to you, dear visitor, my one.man.project Fake Plastic Heads.
It all started in 1998, after I have been lead singer of a couple of bands. I decided to change direction and sort of create a new universe of sounds.
This is when I started experimenting with audio software and some midi-interfaces.
I soon started hooking up my guitar to the computer – to create something more organic. By 2005 I was ready to start recording my sessions. The noise project Radar Five was born.
Here’s one of my first official productions (part of my graduation @ University of Applied Sciences, Duesseldorf):
So back then, it was getting pretty loud. But things and times change, so did my music. I added more IDM-ish flavours to my music, I recorded vocals from time to time, and soon the name of the project had to change.
All of a sudden: Fake Plastic Heads was/were born. You know, those fake plastic heads that you meet throughout your entire life. But the music should speak a very own and unique language.
I self-released a couple of albums.
